STAR*NET In-Person Certification Training - Tucson, AZ

Please join us this fall for an intensive 2-day, "bring your laptop" workshop to master a world-renowned product, elevate your credibility in the industry, and earn your official designation as a STAR*NET Certified Professional[cite: 1]. This hands-on session equips you with the practical skills needed to confidently build projects, master QC workflows, and troubleshoot real-world network problems[cite: 1]. Attendees at this session will gain experience using converters for all types of formats[cite: 1], setting up a STAR*NET project, selecting or computing appropriate apriori values (Instrument Settings), and will practice a variety of troubleshooting techniques. Techniques will be practiced using total station, RTK GNSS, static GNSS and leveling data, but the principles learned will apply regardless of the type of sensor your organization uses.

Classes are strictly capped to ensure you receive personalized support and hands-on guidance[cite: 1]. This workshop will host a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 15 students. Sample files and PDF manuals will be provided. A PDF Certificate of completion will be provided at the end of the course.

Topics:

Taught directly by MicroSurvey software experts[cite: 1], this program will cover most aspects of using STAR*NET. Attendees will learn to use its rigorous adjustment capabilities to tackle challenging datasets, minimize errors, and guarantee the absolute reliability of your network to your clients[cite: 1]. Attendees who complete the course will be prepared to:

  • Configure STAR*NET for a range of equipment types
  • Derive apriori values for instrumentation from specifications or field testing
  • Design, build, and manage comprehensive least squares adjustment packages with confidence[cite: 1]
  • Interpret results from the listing, ensuring results are clear & reliable[cite: 1]
  • Find and resolve typical problems with networks
  • Integrate data easily and use a variety of data conversion strategies[cite: 1]
  • Combine data from various instruments into a single balanced network[cite: 1]

Prerequisites:

The training will use STAR*NET 14 Pro as the training platform. Attendees must bring a laptop and install this version. We offer two licensing options to enable training:

  • If you already own a current STAR*NET 14 Pro license you have met all requirements
  • A temporary floating STAR*NET Pro license will be made available to all attendees during the period of the training session. This will allow companies with outdated maintenance, missing converters or missing GNSS features to take part in all activities.
